Say hi to Icespy™

Enjoy the winter season longer, safer, and smarter.

Our signature product, ICESPY™, is a battery operated ice thickness data buoy that continuously measures ice thickness within the immediate proximity of the device in a wide variety of types of bodies of water. Ice thickness data is displayed locally and can also be sent from the device to a remote server and viewed on the internet.

How is ICESPY™ used?

ICESPY™ allows users to view the ice thickness BEFORE going on the ice and avoid going on the ice if it's too thin for an activity. Users can view ice thickness in the location where ICESPY™ is deployed and avoid wasting time traveling to a location where the ice is not thick enough.

Common applications include:
  • Providing ice thickness indication at public lake access points
  • Indicating ice thickness in high traffic areas and where heavy vehicle travel occurs on frozen bodies of water
  • Providing ice thickness indication far out from shore where the ice is not visible
  • Measuring ice thickness surrounding aeration systems and natural springs
  • Measuring ice thickness on streams and rivers
  • Indicating ice thickness under bridges & pinch points
